"The LORD hath sought him a man [David] after his [God’s] own heart."-1 Samuel 13:14
Although David had weaknesses and imperfections of character, his heart’s desire was to serve and glorify God. When he made some very serious mistakes, he was sorry for them, repented with his whole heart, and tried to live up to God’s high ideals. David wrote many of the Psalms, and among his words are, "The LORD is my shepherd," and, "The heavens declare the glory of God."- Acts 13:22
