"Speak evil of no man."- Titus 3:2

Speaking evil of a person is very much like stealing, because it robs him of his good name and reputation, which are more precious than treasure. Gold and silver can be earned again if stolen, but it is almost impossible to regain a good reputation when someone has ruined it. Once an evil report has been spoken, there is no way to take it back. But thinking before speaking gives us time to decide if our words would be helpful and encouraging, or better left unspoken. Ephesians 4:31
