Aaron "shall be thy spokesman unto the people .... and thou (Moses) shall be to him instead of God."- Exodus 4:16
This is another of God’s wonderful pictures for us. Moses here pictures God, and Aaron pictures Jesus. Before he came to earth to be born as a human being, Jesus was the Logos, the ‘Word’. The Logos was God’s mouthpiece, speaking God’s Word to angels and to people, just as Aaron spoke Moses’ words to the people of Israel. Exodus 7:1
